Ginza Six Commercial Complex Opens

Tokyo, April 20 (Jiji Press)--Ginza Six, the largest commercial complex in Tokyo's Ginza upscale shopping district, threw open its doors to consumers on Thursday.
The facility stands on the former site of a Matsuzakaya department store, which was closed in June 2013. J. Front Retailing Co. <3086>, which operates Daimaru and Matsuzakaya department stores, is one of the joint developers of the complex.
A total of 241 shops, including flagship stores of luxury brands, are housed in the complex, which has 13 floors aboveground and six underground.
The seventh to 13th floors are used for business offices. The first floor has a tourist bus stop.
With a theater for the Japanese traditional performing art of Noh on the third basement level, Ginza Six is expected to serve as a center for introducing Japanese cultures.
