Japan April Core Machinery Orders Up 5.2 Pct

   Tokyo, June 12 (Jiji Press)--Japan's seasonally adjusted core machinery orders in April rose 5.2 pct from the previous month, the Cabinet Office said Wednesday.
   Private-sector orders excluding those for ships and power equipment, closely watched as a leading indicator of corporate capital spending, came to 913.7 billion yen.
   The April result, which followed a 3.8 pct increase in March, compared with the median estimate of a 0.2 pct decline by 18 economic research institutes surveyed by Jiji Press.
