Fans Shocked by Arson Attack on Famed Kyoto Anime Studio

   Tokyo, July 18 (Jiji Press)--Anime fans were left aghast after a suspected arson attack on a famed animation studio in the western Japan city of Kyoto claimed multiple lives on Thursday.
   An explosion and fire occurred at the studio of Kyoto Animation on Thursday morning. It happened apparently because a man released gasoline and set fire. The suspect, 41, was held by local police.
   At least 25 people were confirmed dead in the incident as of Thursday evening.
   At Cafe Dream, a popular destination for anime fans in the city of Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, western Japan, many visitors expressed shock at the tragedy.
   "I was surprised that a building I know was charred black," a 22-year-old male university student from Kobe, the capital of Hyogo, said.
