Japan April-June GDP Up Preliminary 0.4 Pct

   Tokyo, Aug. 9 (Jiji Press)--Japan's gross domestic product in April-June grew 0.4 pct from the previous quarter in price-adjusted real terms, up for the third straight quarter, the Cabinet Office said Friday.
   The reading represented a 1.8 pct annualized rise, the government agency said in a preliminary report.
   The annualized result compared with the median forecast of a 0.4 pct increase among the 20 economic research institutes surveyed by Jiji Press.
   In nominal terms, the April-June GDP rose 0.4 pct for an annualized increase of 1.7 pct.
