Japan July Coincident Economic Index Up 0.3 Point

Tokyo, Sept. 6 (Jiji Press)--Japan's composite index of coincident economic indicators for July rose 0.3 point from the previous month, the Cabinet Office said Friday.
The coincident index, which reflects current economic conditions, stood at 99.8 against 100 for the base year of 2015, the government agency said in a preliminary report.
The index of leading indicators, a yardstick for the economy's performance months ahead, was unchanged at 93.6.
The Cabinet Office maintained its basic view that the coincident index is "halting to fall."
