Japan April-June Real GDP Growth Revised Down to 1.3 Pct

Tokyo, Sept. 9 (Jiji Press)--Japan's gross domestic product grew at an annualized rate of 1.3 pct in April-June from the previous quarter in price-adjusted real terms, the Cabinet Office said in a revised report Monday.
The reading represented a downward revision from the 1.8 pct expansion shown in the government agency's preliminary report released last month.
The revised figure matched the median estimate in a Jiji Press survey of 19 private economic research institutes.
The latest report showed that real GDP expanded 0.3 pct quarter to quarter, against the preliminary reading of a 0.4 pct increase.
Nominal GDP grew at an annualized rate of 1.1 pct, compared with the preliminary 1.7 pct expansion.
