Man Arrested for Firing Air Gun in Road Rage Case in Japan

Nagoya, Sept. 14 (Jiji Press)--The Aichi prefectural police arrested on Saturday a 40-year-old unemployed man for allegedly firing what appeared to be an air gun in a road rage case on an expressway in Aichi Prefecture, central Japan.
The man, Tatsuhiko Sato, was arrested on charges of criminal damage.
The suspect admitted to the charges and said that he became angry and fired the gun after the driver of a car in front of him slammed the breaks, nearly causing a collision, according to police sources.
Accompanied by two friends, Sato turned himself in to the Hyogo prefectural police in the small hours of Saturday.
As similar incidents have occurred in the western Japan cities of Kobe and Kyoto, the Aichi police are currently looking into Sato's connections to such cases.
