(Update) Haneda Domestic Terminals Hit by Water Outage

Tokyo, Nov. 6 (Jiji Press)--Water supplies were cut off at two terminal buildings of Tokyo International Airport at Haneda on Wednesday morning, forcing restaurants there to suspend operations.
The terminal 1 and 2 buildings are mainly used by domestic flight passengers. Supply to the terminal 1 building was restored in the afternoon.
The outage also made it unable to wash hands at restrooms in the buildings, according to Japan Airport Terminal Co. <9706>. No water failure happened at the airport's international terminal building.
Water supplies to the terminal 1 and 2 buildings were suspended following a rise in salt concentrations that was discovered around 9 a.m. Wednesday (midnight Tuesday GMT), officials of a water supply facility management company said. Supply to the terminal 1 building was resumed after the problem was cleared, while the cause of the increased salt content has not been determined yet, they said.
The water outage had no influence on takeoffs or landings at the airport, according to ANA Holdings Inc.'s <9202> All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines <9201>.
