Japan Revises Down Coincident Index in April

   Tokyo, June 24 (Jiji Press)--Japan's Cabinet Office said Wednesday it has revised down the composite index of coincident economic indicators for April.
   The revised coincident CI, which reflects current economic conditions, stood at 80.1 against 100 for the base year of 2015, down from 81.5 in the preliminary report announced earlier this month. The index was down 8.7 points from the previous month, compared with the preliminary reading of a 7.3-point fall.
   The leading CI, a yardstick for the economy's performance months ahead, was down 7.4 points at 77.7. In the preliminary report, the index fell 8.9 points to 76.2.
