(Update) 58 New Coronavirus Cases Confirmed in Tokyo

Tokyo, June 29 (Jiji Press)--Fifty-eight novel coronavirus infection cases were newly confirmed in Tokyo on Monday, metropolitan government officials said.
The daily count topped 50 for the fourth consecutive day. But it was lower than Sunday's 60 cases, the highest figure since Japan fully lifted its COVID-19 state of emergency May 25.
Of Monday's total, 32 cases were in their 20s, 14 in their 30s and four in their 40s.
Infection routes were unknown in 24 cases, while 32 were linked to nightlife, including 20 host club-related cases. Host clubs refer to bars where young male employees entertain women.
The cumulative number of infections in the Japanese capital thus rose to 6,171.
