Japan's Cumulative COVID-19 Cases Up by 3,637 in Past Week

   Tokyo, Oct. 12 (Jiji Press)--The cumulative number of novel coronavirus cases confirmed in Japan, including infections among cruise ship passengers and crew members, came to 90,202 as of 10 a.m. Monday (1 a.m. GMT), up by 3,637 from a week before.
   The cumulative COVID-19 death toll rose by 30 to 1,643.
   By prefecture, Tokyo had the biggest number of infection cases, at 27,715, up by 1,231, followed by Osaka, at 11,154, up by 345, and Kanagawa, at 7,508, up by 372.
   The death toll was the highest in Tokyo, at 421, up by 10, followed by Osaka, at 223, up by five, and Kanagawa, at 150, up by seven.
