Japan's Current Account Surplus Up 29.0 Pct in Nov.

   Tokyo, Jan. 12 (Jiji Press)--Japan's current account surplus in November last year rose 29.0 pct from a year before to 1,878.4 billion yen, the Ministry of Finance said Tuesday.
   The result came against the median forecast of 1,550 billion yen in surplus among 19 economic research institutes surveyed by Jiji Press.
   Japan logged a goods and services trade surplus of 434.5 billion yen against the year-before surplus of 156.9 billion yen, the ministry said in a preliminary balance of payments report.
   In goods trade, Japan's surplus totaled 616.1 billion yen, against 20 billion yen in deficit. Exports were down 3.4 pct at 6,039.1 billion yen, and imports were down 13.6 pct at 5,423 billion yen.
   The surplus on the primary income account expanded 17.8 pct to 1,724.4 billion yen.
