(Update) Night Party Participants at Health Ministry Contract COVID-19

Tokyo, April 8 (Jiji Press)--The Japanese health ministry said Thursday that a total of six ministry personnel, including three of the 23 workers who came under fire for holding a late-night farewell party last month, have tested positive for the new coronavirus.
Public health care centers are working to identify people who may have had close contact with them and virus transmission routes.
According to the ministry, the six ministry workers all belonged to the ministry's Health and Welfare Bureau for the Elderly at the time of the party.
Of them, five were working at the Division of the Health for the Elderly, including two who did not attend the party.
One of the six has moved to an organization different from the health ministry.
