Japan March Jobless Rate Falls to 2.6 Pct

   Tokyo, April 30 (Jiji Press)--Japan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 2.6 pct in March, down 0.3 percentage point from the previous month, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said Friday.
   The number of jobless people decreased by 230,000 to 1.8 million, the ministry said.
   Separately, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said the ratio of job openings to job seekers in March stood at 1.10, up 0.01 point from the previous month.
   In fiscal 2020, which ended in March, the average job openings-to-seekers ratio fell 0.45 point from the previous year to 1.10, marking its largest annual decline in 46 years.
