Japan's Current Account Surplus Up 37.3 Pct in March

   Tokyo, May 13 (Jiji Press)--Japan's current account surplus in March rose 37.3 pct from a year before to 2,650.1 billion yen, the Ministry of Finance said Thursday.
   The result came against the median forecast of 2,739.7 billion yen among the 16 economic research institutes surveyed by Jiji Press.
   Japan saw its goods and services trade surplus jump to 936.0 billion yen from 21.5 billion yen a year before, the ministry said in a preliminary balance of payments report.
   In goods trade, Japan's surplus rose to 983.1 billion yen from 132.6 billion yen. Exports advanced 16.6 pct from a year before to 7,282.1 billion yen, and imports were up 3.1 pct at 6,299.0 billion yen.
   The surplus on the primary income account shrank 6.2 pct to 2,045.2 billion yen.
