Tokyo Newly Finds 235 People with Coronavirus

   Tokyo, June 7 (Jiji Press)--The Tokyo metropolitan government newly confirmed 235 people with the coronavirus on Monday, down 25 from a week earlier.
   In the western prefecture of Osaka, 72 people were newly found positive for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, down 26.
   Across Japan, the number of ongoing severe COVID-19 cases fell 11 from the previous day to 1,120, according to the health ministry.
   Tokyo's daily infection tally averaged 422.9 for the last week, down 22.7 pct from the preceding week and down over 340 from a month before.
   The number of severe COVID-19 cases in Tokyo under the metropolitan government's standards increased by one to 61.
