Japan Aug. Coincident Index Down 2.9 Points

   Tokyo, Oct. 7 (Jiji Press)--Japan's composite index of coincident economic indicators for August fell 2.9 points from the previous month, the Cabinet Office said Thursday.
   The coincident CI, which reflects current economic conditions, stood at 91.5 against 100 for the base year of 2015, the government agency said in a preliminary report.
   The leading CI, a yardstick for the economy's performance months ahead, was down 2.3 points at 101.8.
