Japan August Nominal Wages Up for 6th Straight Month

   Tokyo, Oct. 8 (Jiji Press)--Nominal wages in Japan in August rose 0.7 pct from a year before to 274,987 yen on average, up for the sixth straight month, a labor ministry preliminary report said Friday.
   The average rebounded after the year-before drop of 1.3 pct due to the negative effects of the novel coronavirus crisis.
   Price-adjusted real wages grew 0.2 pct.
   Regular pay including basic salary rose 0.2 pct.
   Overtime and other nonregular pay climbed a steeper 6.5 pct.
