Japan Core Consumer Prices Up 0.1 Pct in Oct.

   Tokyo, Nov. 19 (Jiji Press)--Japan's core consumer price index in October rose 0.1 pct from a year earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said Friday.
   The result matched the median forecast in a Jiji Press poll of 19 economic research institutes.
   The core CPI, which excludes often volatile fresh food prices, stood at 99.9 against 100 for the base year of 2020.
   After seasonal adjustment, the core CPI was down 0.1 pct month on month.
