Japan's Current Account Surplus Down 48.2 Pct in Nov.

   Tokyo, Jan. 12 (Jiji Press)--Japan's current account surplus in November fell 48.2 pct from a year before to 897.3 billion yen, the Ministry of Finance said Wednesday.
   The result came against the median forecast of 583.7 billion yen in surplus among 19 economic research institutes surveyed by Jiji Press.
   Japan logged a goods and services trade deficit of 645.4 billion yen against the year-before surplus of 442.8 billion yen, the ministry said in a preliminary balance of payments report.
   In goods trade, Japan's deficit totaled 431.3 billion yen, against 607.4 billion yen in surplus. Exports were up 23.2 pct at 7,445.8 billion yen, and imports were up 44.9 pct at 7,877.1 billion yen.
   The surplus on the primary income account expanded 14.3 pct to 1,790.7 billion yen.
