Tokyo COVID-19 Daily Count Up for 6th Straight Day

   Tokyo, May 12 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo reported 4,216 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, up 1,896 from a week before, exceeding the week-before level for the six straight day.
   The seven-day average of new coronavirus cases stood at 3,949, up 30.9 pct, the Tokyo metropolitan government said.
   There were four deaths linked to COVID-19. The number of severely ill patients under Tokyo's criteria dropped by two from Wednesday to six.
