Abe State Funeral to Be Attended by 4,300 People

   Tokyo, Sept. 22 (Jiji Press)--The state funeral for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected at the moment to be attended by 3,600 people from Japan and about 700 from overseas, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said Thursday.
   Representatives from a total of 218 foreign countries and regions as well as international organizations will attend the funeral to be held in Tokyo on Tuesday.
   China will send Wan Gang, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Matsuno revealed at a press conference.
   The expected attendees from Japan include the incumbent heads of the administrative, legislative and judicial branches of government, a total of 15 former branch heads, six political party leaders, over 700 incumbent and former lawmakers and 44 prefectural governors.
   According to Matsuno, letters of invitation have been sent to a total of about 6,000 people in the country.
