Tokyo Core Consumer Prices Climb 3.6 Pct in Nov.

   Tokyo, Nov. 25 (Jiji Press)--Core consumer prices in Tokyo rose 3.6 pct in November from a year before, marking their fastest rise in over 40 years, the Japanese internal affairs ministry said Friday.
   Economic research institutes surveyed by Jiji Press had predicted a 3.5 pct rise in the core consumer price index, which excludes often volatile fresh food prices, for the Japanese capital's densely populated 23 special wards.
   The index stood at 103.6 against the 2020 base of 100, the ministry said.
