Hiroshima, May 20 (Jiji Press)--Leaders of the Group of Seven major powers Saturday vowed action to boost nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation efforts during their ongoing summit in the western Japan city of Hiroshima.
In their Hiroshima Leaders' Communique, the G-7 leaders said they are taking concrete steps to "strengthen disarmament and nonproliferation efforts, towards the ultimate goal of a world without nuclear weapons with undiminished security for all."
The communique also said that the G-7 major democracies are taking specific steps to "support Ukraine for as long as it takes in the face of Russia's illegal war of aggression."
