(Update) Japan's Ruling LDP Launches New Leadership Team

   Tokyo, Sept. 13 (Jiji Press)--Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party launched a new leadership team Wednesday after Prime Minister Fumio Kishida retained key members, including Secretary-General Toshimitsu Motegi, 67.
   Kishida, LDP president, also retained Taro Aso, 82, as vice president and Koichi Hagiuda, 60, as chairman of the Policy Research Council.
   Yuko Obuchi, 49, former chair of the Party Organization and Campaign Headquarters, was appointed to head the Election Strategy Committee.
   Hiroshi Moriyama, 78, who was previously chief of the Election Strategy Committee, became chairman of the General Council.
   Motegi told a press conference that the LDP for now will focus on ways to boost the Japanese economy.
