INTERVIEW: Int'l Flights Key to Japan Inbound Travel Growth

Shanghai, Sept. 13 (Jiji Press)--The key to expanding inbound travel to Japan lies in the recovery of international flights to the country, Jane Sun, CEO of Chinese travel agency giant Trip.com Group Ltd., has said.
In a recent media interview, Sun said that Chinese demand for overseas travel is expected to grow further despite increasing signs of an economic slowdown.
The Chinese government has eased its COVID-19 border controls in stages since it scrapped its roughly three-year zero tolerance policy at the end of last year.
Last month, it lifted a ban on group tours to countries such as Japan and the United States that had been in place for about three and a half years.
