More in Japan against LDP-Komeito Electoral Cooperation: Jiji Poll

   Tokyo, Sept. 14 (Jiji Press)--The revival of electoral cooperation in Tokyo between the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its coalition partner Komeito is opposed by 25.6 pct of people in Japan, while 23.1 pct support it, a Jiji Press survey showed on Thursday.
   In the survey conducted over four days through Monday, 51.3 pct of all respondents said that they neither support nor oppose the LDP-Komeito cooperation, or that they have no opinion on the matter.
   Among respondents supporting the LDP and Komeito, support for the electoral cooperation was 40.5 pct and 71.1 pct, respectively, while opposition was 17.8 pct and 8.9 pct.
   When asked whether the Democratic Party for the People should join the current LDP-Komeito coalition, 34.2 pct of all respondents said "no," 15.9 pct said "yes," and 49.9 pct answered neither.
   Of those supporting the LDP, 25.0 pct were in favor of adding the DPFP, while 36.4 pct were against. Of DPFP supporters, 38.1 pct called on the party to join the coalition, and another 38.1 pct warned against it.
