Takarazuka Revue Apologizes for Power Harassment

Osaka, March 28 (Jiji Press)--Japanese musical theater company Takarazuka Revue said Thursday that it has apologized to the bereaved family of a member of its all-female cast for power harassment over her sudden death.
The company, based in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, said that it has concluded an agreement with the bereaved family over the power harassment.
"Full responsibility lies with the theater company," Yasuo Shimada, president of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Inc., the parent of railway firm Hankyu Corp., which runs Takarazuka Revue, said at a press conference in Toyonaka, Osaka Prefecture.
"We vowed to the bereaved family that a similar incident will never happen," Shimada said, referring to a meeting between the two sides that took place earlier on Thursday.
At the meeting, the two sides signed the agreement and Hankyu Hanshin Chairman and Group CEO Kazuo Sumi directly apologized to the family, according to Shimada.
