Major Japan Brewers, Excluding Asahi, Expect Sales Growth in 2018

   Tokyo, Jan. 12 (Jiji Press)--Three major Japanese brewers, excluding industry leader Asahi Breweries Ltd., expect sales of beer and quasi-beer products will increase this year, albeit modestly, according to their 2018 business plans.
   Kirin Brewery Co. forecasts the sales will go up by 0.3 pct from the previous year, Suntory Beer Ltd. by 1.0 pct and Sapporo Breweries Ltd. by 1.9 pct. On the other hand, Asahi projects a 1.3 pct sales drop.
