Japan Imported Auto Sales Up 4.2 Pct in Jan.
Tokyo, Feb. 6 (Jiji Press)--Sales of imported foreign-brand vehicles in Japan in January rose 4.2 pct from a year before to 17,325 units, up for the second consecutive month, an industry group said Wednesday.
The growth was led by robust sales of new models, officials of the Japan Automobile Importers Association said. SUVs and clean diesel vehicles were also popular, they said.
