NEC to Launch Biometric Service in N. America

   Tokyo, June 22 (Jiji Press)--Japanese technology firm NEC Corp. <6701> has said it will launch in North America in July a service that combines biometrics and image analysis for utilization at airports and sporting events.
   The service, which employs NEC's original biometric identification technology, is also planned to be introduced in Japan by the end of this year.
