2 Kyushu Elec Reactors to Be Halted for Delayed Antiterror Work

   Fukuoka, Oct. 4 (Jiji Press)--Kyushu Electric Power Co. <9508> is set to suspend operations at two reactors at its Sendai nuclear power station in southwestern Japan, due to a delay in the construction of facilities to be used in the event of terrorist attacks.
   The No. 1 reactor at the plant in the city of Satsumasendai, Kagoshima Prefecture, part of the Kyushu region, will be halted for about nine months from March 16, 2020, and the No. 2 reactor for about eight months from May 20 the same year, the power company said Thursday.
