Japan Imported Auto Sales Up 1.8 Pct in April-Sept.

   Tokyo, Oct. 4 (Jiji Press)--Sales of imported foreign-brand vehicles in Japan in April-September rose 1.8 pct from a year before to 152,240 units, marking the fifth straight fiscal first-half increase, industry data showed Friday.
   The growth was apparently led by the introduction of new models, while there was no particular spike in demand in the lead-up to Tuesday's consumption tax increase.
