FamilyMart to Allow Stores to Close Late at Night

   Tokyo, Nov. 13 (Jiji Press)--Japanese convenience store chain FamilyMart Co. <8028> plans to allow franchise stores to halt late-night and early-morning operations in a shift from its 24-hour operation policy, informed sources said Wednesday.
   The company is considering allowing stores to decide when to close except between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., starting as early as March, the sources said. In addition, they will be allowed to halt late-night and early-morning operations every day or on Sundays.
