New Nissan Chief Uchida Vows to Drive Turnaround

   Yokohama, Dec. 2 (Jiji Press)--New Nissan Motor Co. <7201> chief Makoto Uchida vowed Monday to accelerate turnaround efforts at the Japanese automaker.
   "Nissan is in a very tough environment," Uchida, 53, told a press conference at the company's headquarters in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, a day after he was promoted to president and chief executive officer.
