(Update) Aeon to See 1st Leadership Change in 23 Years

   Chiba, Jan. 10 (Jiji Press)--Japanese retail giant Aeon Co. <8267> on Friday announced the first change in its top leadership post in 23 years, saying that it will promote Executive Vice President Akio Yoshida, 59, to succeed Motoya Okada as its president.
   Okada, 68, will step down on March 1 from the post he has held since June 1997. Under the leadership of Yoshida, who is now in charge of the company's information technology division, Aeon will accelerate efforts to strengthen its digital business.
