Leopalace21 Faces 10 B. Yen in Excess Debt

   Tokyo, Sept. 26 (Jiji Press)--Struggling Japanese apartment rental firm Leopalace21 Corp. <8848> saw its debts exceed assets by about 10 billion yen at the end of June, it was learned Saturday.
   The negative net worth is due to falling occupancy rates for its apartments reflecting its shoddy construction scandal, which came to light in 2018, sources familiar with the matter said.
