Aeon to Keep Price of 3rd-Segment Beer Sold by Can

   Tokyo, Sept. 28 (Jiji Press)--Japanese retailer Aeon Co. <8267> said Monday that it will keep the price of the so-called third-segment quasi-beer under its Topvalu private brand sold by can, despite Thursday's liquor tax hike.
   The standard retail price of the 350-mililiter Barreal product will stay at 85 yen when it is sold individually. Meanwhile, the prices of six-can packs and 24-can boxes will rise by about 3 yen per can.
