JTB to Cut Workforce by Over 20 Pct

   Tokyo, Nov. 20 (Jiji Press)--Major Japanese travel agency JTB Corp. said Friday it will reduce its workforce by 6,500, or over 20 pct, from fiscal 2019 to some 22,500 in fiscal 2021, as part of its structural reform to cope with the coronavirus crisis.
   The jobs to be cut comprise 2,800 in Japan and 3,700 overseas. JTB will also forgo the hiring of spring 2022 graduates.
