Sony Group to Acquire Brazilian Label Som Livre
Tokyo, April 2 (Jiji Press)--Sony Group Corp. <6758> said Friday it will acquire Brazilian music company Som Livre for some 28 billion yen through U.S. affiliate Sony Music Entertainment.
Through the deal, the Japanese electronics and entertainment giant aims to tap growing demand in the music market of the South American country, which has been expanding thanks in part to subscription services.
