Kansai Electric to Invest 500 B. Yen in Nonpower Biz
Osaka, April 8 (Jiji Press)--Kansai Electric Power Co. <9503> plans to invest some 500 billion yen in fields not related to electricity over the course of five years, President Takashi Morimoto said in a recent interview.
In the five years through fiscal 2025, the company, based in Osaka, western Japan, will spend more than 240 billion yen on information technology to boost digital transformation-related services for corporate clients and revamp its fiber-optic facilities.
