Tokyo-Area New Condo Supply Logs 1st Rise in 3 Yrs in FY 2020

   Tokyo, April 19 (Jiji Press)--The number of new condominiums put up for sale in Tokyo and three neighboring prefectures in fiscal 2020, which ended in March, rose 1.7 pct from the previous year to 29,032, up for the first time in three years, a private think tank said Monday.
   The growth reflects higher housing demand on the back of the spread of work-from-home systems amid the novel coronavirus crisis although marketing activities stalled temporarily due the epidemic, according to Real Estate Economic Institute Co.
