Japanese Automakers to Work Together on Connected Cars

   Tokyo, April 28 (Jiji Press)--Toyota Motor Corp. <7203> and four other Japanese automakers said Tuesday that they will work together on connected cars as part of efforts to accelerate the development of next-generation vehicles.
   The companies will standardize vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology to reduce costs. The joint development is based on Toyota's expertise in vehicle communication.
