Combined Net Profits at TSE 1st-Section Firms Down 4.2 Pct

   Tokyo, May 15 (Jiji Press)--Combined net profits at companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's first section for the year through March dropped 4.2 pct from the previous year, an SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. survey has shown.
   Manufacturers fared well thanks mainly to the strength of electronic products, such as semiconductors, as the spread of the novel coronavirus helped boost demand for home-use items, including those related to teleworking.
