Tokyo-Area New Condo Supply Surges 77.3 Pct in Jan.-June

   Tokyo, July 19 (Jiji Press)--The number of new condominiums put up for sale in Tokyo and three neighboring prefectures in January-June surged 77.3 pct from a year before to 13,277 units, a private think tank said Monday.
   The Tokyo-area condo supply, which slumped a year before, expanded for the first time in three years on a first-half basis because demand began to recover sharply in the second half of 2020 due to the spread of remote working.
