OK to Ask Kansai Super Shareholders to Oppose Merger with H2O

   Tokyo, Oct. 12 (Jiji Press)--Japanese discount supermarket chain OK Corp. said Monday it will send a letter to individual shareholders of Kansai Super Market Ltd. <9919> asking them to oppose a merger with H2O Retailing Corp. <8242>.
   The letter will be sent this week, said OK, based in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, which operates in the Tokyo metropolitan area. OK aims to acquire Kansai Super Market through a tender offer.
