4 Major Japanese Brewers Post Sales Drops in Sept.

   Tokyo, Oct. 12 (Jiji Press)--Four major Japanese brewers suffered double-digit percentage declines in sales in September, due to restrictions on serving alcohol at restaurants and bars under a COVID-19 state of emergency, data from the companies showed on Tuesday.
   The sluggish sales also came in reaction to brisk demand a year before ahead of a tax hike for so-called third-segment low-priced quasi-beer products.
