Car Rental Firm in Okinawa Goes Bust amid Pandemic

   Tokyo, Jan. 13 (Jiji Press)--A car rental firm operating mainly in the southernmost Japan prefecture of Okinawa and two affiliates have sought bankruptcy protection, hit hard by the novel coronavirus crisis.
   Travel Rent-a-Car, based in the Okinawa city of Tomigusuku, and the affiliates filed for protection with Tokyo District Court under the civil rehabilitation law Tuesday, leaving debts of 5,559.56 million yen in total, Tokyo Shoko Research Ltd. said.
