Sony Reports 1.2 T. Yen in FY 2021 Operating Profit
Tokyo, May 10 (Jiji Press)--Sony Group Corp. <6758> on Tuesday reported a consolidated operating profit of 1,202,339 million yen in fiscal 2021, up 25.9 pct from the previous year, thanks to robust movie and music businesses.
In the fiscal year that ended in March, the Japanese electronics and entertainment giant's operating profit topped 1 trillion yen for the first time ever to hit a record high, although it cannot be compared simply with past records due to a change in the accounting method.
