Nintendo Posts 1st Annual Net Profit Fall in 6 Years
Kyoto, May 11 (Jiji Press)--Nintendo Co.'s <7974> consolidated net profit in fiscal 2021 shrank for the first time in six years as production of its popular Switch game console was slowed by semiconductor shortages.
In the year that ended in March, the Japanese company logged a net profit of 477,691 million yen, down 0.6 pct from the previous year, according to its earnings report released Tuesday.
